Ingredients: Dough: 1-1/2 teaspoons yeast
1-1/2 teaspoons sugar 1 cup lukewarm water 1 cup all purpose flour 3 cups cake
flour 2-1/4 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 cup sugar 4-1/2 teaspoons melted butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
Filling: 1/4 cup oil 4 cloves garlic,
minced 2 pieces onions, quartered 1/4 kilo pork, boiled and diced - enough broth
1/4 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup sugar 1 small green pepper, diced 1 teaspoon salt 1
small can meat sauce 1/4 cup grated cheese 3 salted eggs, sliced
Sauce: soy sauce sugar to taste broth 3
tablespoons cornstarch 1/4 cup water
Procedure:
1. Dissolve yeast and sugar in lukewarm water. Let stand for
10 minutes.
2. Sift together all-purpose and cake flour and baking powder.
Set aside.
3. To yeast mixture, add sugar, melted butter, and salt. Stir
in flour to form a soft dough. Knead until smooth. Let rise until doubled in
bulk. Meanwhile, prepare filling.
4. Sauté garlic in heated oil. Add onions, when transparent,
add meats. Add broth, soy sauce, and sugar.
5. Simmer for a few minutes. Add all of the remaining
ingredients except salted eggs. Continue cooking over low heat until thick.
6. Divide dough 12 pieces. Put filling and let rest for 20
minutes. Steam for 20 - 25 minutes. Serve with sauce prepared as follows:
1. Add soy sauce and sugar to remaining broth.
2. Dissolve cornstarch in 1/4 cup water and add to broth. Cook
until thickened.
